Spent all day Saturday at the Rockstar Mayhem Festival at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. Black Tide, Machine Head, and Mastodon all kicked ass, but it was Airbourne who stole the entire show! More pictures and review coming soon. And much thanx to a friend who hooked me up with the All Access Pass!
Black Tide are not a band from the eighties, but they are totally inspired by classic eighties NWOBHM bands. What sets this band apart is that they are all 20 years old or younger, with the singer being only 15! It's very encouraging that in todays puke-pop world that there are still kids that get it, and who continue to carry the metal torch! Check out their cover of Metallica's "Hit The Lights" below.
