Just got home from seeing the Groovie Ghoulies and The Hard-Ons. I'm getting old, so I cut out before The Queers hit the stage. Anyways, The Hard-Ons were fucking amazing{!}, and the Ghoulies kicked ass as usual. {I know I've babbled on and on about what a great band they are many times before.} If I get a chance I'll write up a little review tomorrow, and post some more of my pics from the show.
Thursday night my friend Scott and I met up at Annie's Social Club to check out one of my favorite bands, the Groovie Ghoulies! If you have never heard them before, they are kind of a cross between The Ramones, and by their own admission, Neil Diamond. I really don't like too many "Pop-Punk" bands, but the Groovie Ghoulies music is quite infectious, just ask Captain Potty Mouth! Anyways, as always, they put on a great high energy show. Kepi is without a doubt one of the funniest frontmen around. You can check out some of my pics here. They are not the best, as I was shooting without a flash, but I think there are a few good shots. While there, I ran into fellow Voxster Steve, who was also taking pics, and he probably got some better shots then myself. And BTW, all the art on stage was done by head Ghoulie Kepi, and next week he and punk rock legend Kevin Seconds will be on the East Coast doing some solo acoustic gigs/art shows.
