One of my all time favorite bands.
Today after Lilia and I attended a seminar by Ken Light at Photo San Francisco, we took a stroll through the exhibit hall where we came across work by punk rock photographer Edward Colver. I immediately recognized this photo, which is on the cover of the book American Hardcore. {Not only is this a great photo documentation of the American Punk Rock Scene in the 1980's, but a movie scheduled for wide release this fall!} Anyways, after looking at all the photographs we decided there was one in particular that we really liked, and wanted hanging on the walls of our home. So we found this really cool, older, spacey dude named Dermot, who is a personal friend of Edward Colver, and runs Caracola Gallery down in L.A. After telling us many tales of Mr. Colver, he gave us a great deal on the photo below, as well as a copy of his new book, Blight At The End Of The Funnel. As a huge fan of punk rock, and an aspiring concert photographer, I could not be happier with our purchase. And Lilia already has her eyes on more of his photos!
